About the event
One of the oldest professions in the civilized world is the collection and preparation of wild plants for use as medicine, special foods, or home remedies. Ancient as this skill is it is far from outdated. The very best way to obtain this knowledge is by getting out in nature with the herbs. Â
Join us for a very special seasonal plant walk & in-depth discussion of some traditional wild medicinals. Herbalist Angie Pietraszewski will be leading participants around the lawn, fields, and woods surrounding the Lavender & Honey Farm to explore the medicinal virtues, identification, and preparation of many of the common "weeds" and wildflowers we pass by every day. Â
Angie will also go over how to incorporate what you learn into usable skills with which to maintain and restore health. From April into May when sleeping flora begin to burst from the ground, possible plant studies: dandelion, violet, cleavers, plantain, chamomile, comfrey, mullein, and more.
Includes a boxed lunch from Nourish Juicery & Kitchen.
